Beloved Community,

The 12 Days of Christmas, beginning on December 25th and continuing through January 6th (Epiphany), offers a meaningful way to extend our celebration of Christ's birth beyond a single day.

While many pack away their decorations on December 26th, the Christian tradition invites us to dwell in the wonder of the Incarnation for these sacred days.

We will be reading from Matthew 2:13-23 tomorrow. This passage references the Holy Family's flight to Egypt and comes between the nativity and the visit of the Magi, which happens later in the 12 Days of Christmas.

A reading from Isaiah 63:7-9 will remind us of God's steadfast love and presence during times of uncertainty. As the Holy Family sought refuge in Egypt, they experienced firsthand the kind of divine protection and mercy that Isaiah describes - God's unfailing love carrying them through their journey.

How is God's steadfast love carrying you, as we journey into 2026 together?

In Christ's steadfast love,

Ric
