Hello friends,


This is just a quick note for you all as I am continuing my vacation. As you read this we will have gone from Spain to France (specifically Paris) until Friday September 26. Our last stop is a visit to New York City for the weekend. We will return home late Sunday night, and I will be with you all in worship on Sunday October 5th.


Before leaving home for the systems academy in Chicago, followed by our vacation in Europe my friend and I did our Wednesday paint class. And I thought I would share that painting with you all today the lesson is titled sunset at the salt marsh but I see it as one of our beautiful California estuaries on a cloudy sunset. It was a fun painting to do but it's also another painting where we learned that layer after layer after layer is necessary. I think that's a good reminder because the things we encounter often have many layers and maybe we would all do better to be patient about either adding those layers or finding our ways through them.
